Clifford Adlerz was appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer and Director of Surgery Center Holdings, Inc. in September of 2017. Mr. Adlerz previously served as President of Symbion Healthcare, a large multi-specialty provider of ambulatory surgery centers and hospitals, which was acquired by Surgery Partners in 2014. Prior to joining Symbion, Mr. Adlerz served as Division Vice President of HCA, the healthcare facilities operator, as well as Regional Vice President of Midsouth HealthTrust. Mr. Adlerz previously served on the Board of Directors for the National Ambulatory Surgery Center Association and was part of the leadership group for ASC Quality Collaboration.
Teresa Sparks serves as Executive Vice President and CFO of Surgery Partners and served as SVP and CFO of Symbion until its acquisition in 2014. She was Corporate Controller of Symbion from its inception until she was named VP in 2002. Prior to joining Symbion, she served as Assistant Controller for HealthWise of America, Inc., and senior healthcare auditor for Deloitte and Touche.
Bryan Fisher serves as EVP and COO of the National Group, overseeing surgical hospitals and surgical facilities. He co-founded National Surgical Healthcare (NSH) in 1999 and held the role of President and COO prior to its acquisition in 2017. Prior to NSH, Bryan served as Controller and then CFO for National Surgery Centers, an assistant controller for Medical Care International, and an auditor with KPMG LLP.
Jennifer Baldock has served as SVP and General Counsel of Surgery Partners since its acquisition of Symbion in 2014, previously serving as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Symbion. She formerly served as Assistant General Counsel for both Ambulatory Services of America and Renal Care Group, and practiced law with Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis.
Ben Jacobs serves as Chief Development Officer of Surgery Partners. He served in the same role at National Surgical Healthcare (NSH) until its acquisition in 2017. Prior to NSH, Ben served as Vice President of Development for Surgical Care Affiliates, Director of Mergers and Acquisitions for DaVita Healthcare Partners, Vice President of Development for CVS Caremark Corporation, and a corporate attorney with the law firm of Jones Walker.
John Crysel serves as President of Surgery Partners' National Group, a role he previously held with Symbion prior to its acquisition in 2014. Before joining Symbion, he co-founded and served as President of Dover Resource Group. Prior to that, he served as Associate Administrator at Indian Path Medical Center, CEO at Crockett Hospital and CEO at Northside Hospital.
George Goodwin serves as President of Surgery Partners’ American Group, previously a part of Symbion which was acquired by Surgery Partners in November 2014. Before joining Symbion as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions and later as SVP and CDO, he served as President and CEO of American Pathology Resources.
Tony Taparo serves as President of Surgery Partners’ Atlantic Group, previously a part of Symbion which was acquired by Surgery Partners in November 2014. He served as RVP for Symbion from 1999 to 2006 and previously served as COO of Columbia Physician Services.
Chris Toepke joined Surgery Partners in 2014 and serves as Group President of Ancillary Services. Prior to joining Surgery Partners, he served as Business Unit President at One Call Care Management as well as a management consultant with Bain & Company.
Christopher Gordon joined Bain Capital Private Equity, LP in 1997 and has served as a Managing Director since 2009. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Gordon was a consultant at Bain & Company, Inc. Mr. Gordon holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an AB in Economics from Harvard College.
